Shining Rock Classical Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy is a public charter school offering a college-preparatory education to students in Kindergarten through eighth grades. Shining Rock is open to any North Carolina student and is TUITION-FREE.

Our Mission: Shining Rock Classical Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy engages all students and challenges them to excel. Through an integrated, content-rich curriculum, students will develop a strong foundation in critical thought and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. We encourage local and global citizenship, and we practice six core values: Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Responsibility, Wisdom, and Leadership.
