Shining Rock Community Meetings

Did you know that every school day at Shining Rock begins with a morning meeting/morning advisory for students in grades K-8.  In addition, each building gathers as a grade level (K-2, 3-5, 6-8) community.  Once a month the entire student body and faculty gather on a Monday morning to celebrate achievements, highlight students who uphold our Core Values, and share important happenings within our learning community.

Shining Rock Winter Showcase

Shining Rock will be hosting its Winter Specials Showcase on Tuesday December 18, 2018 at the Folkmoot Center’s auditorium.  Art, Music, Physical Education, Outdoor Education, and Foreign Language will all be part of the exhibit.  The activities begin at 5PM for Grades K-3, 6PM for Grades 4-8.  For further information, please contact Ms. Kirby Phillips, Specials Coordinator at or call the main office at (828) 476-5150.
